Chicago Duo Bianca Marroquín and Paul C. Vogt Talk Love, Ma…

Bianca Marroquín and Paul C. Vogt give killer performances as married couple Roxie and Amos Hart in Broadway’s longest-running revival Chicago. Together, they are wickedly funny and surprisingly touching. BroadwayBox caught up with the dynamic duo to learn more about what makes them such a memorable onstage pair.

My first impression of my co-star was:

Bianca:
I wanted to hug him. Snuggle with him right then and there!

Paul:
WOW!! Beautiful, amazing smile, so nice, energy to die for… Hotcha!

What makes our performances gel so well together is:

Bianca:
I think it's because he's in love with me.

Paul:
I think we both love to entertain. We both love this show and understand the dynamic of the characters. I also think we have a similar idea of attacking a role and giving all we got….Whoopee!

My favorite moment that we share in Chicago is:

Bianca:
When I'm trying to convince him to get $5,000 dollars so I can hire Billy Flynn as my lawyer. We get to flirt and growl at each other. We get sexy on stage together.

Paul:
The last scene we have together. Amos is still willing to continue on with the marriage and Roxie is defeated by not receiving the outcome she thought she would. We get to act a nice real moment between a couple that can’t quite connect. Such a great and fulfilling moment because Bianca is so vulnerable and gives so much for me to work with.

My most memorable performance we’ve shared:

Bianca:
Paul's first show, when he came back to NYC and rejoined the company last month. I was so proud and excited to the share the stage with him again.

Paul:
For me it would be this past June. I returned to the show after dealing with cancer for several months. Since I had done the show before I only needed a quick rehearsal in the afternoon with the stage manager and dance captain. I didn’t see Bianca until right before she went onstage for her first scene; we hugged and chatted quickly. On stage it was like no time had passed, it felt so good and everything fell right into place. Great way to come back!

My co-star and I bond over:

Bianca:
Food! We've set a date to go try the best chocolate pudding cake on this Earth (according to me) at Joe Allen's.

Paul:
We chat about relationships, career travels…and strong coffee.

I’m envious of my co-star’s ability to:

Bianca:
His ability to be so darn cute and lovable. I get so happy every time I see him.

Paul:
Travel every week...EVERY WEEK she travels to Mexico City on her day off…and makes it back for the show with amazing energy and life and stamina! JAAAAAAZZZZZ!

If I had to describe my co-star in a song, it would be:

Bianca:
"How big is your love?" by the Bee Gees.

Paul:
"La Cucaracha"—a crazy song for a crazy lady who thinks i am in love with her!

Don't miss Bianca and Paul bring the sizzle to Chicago at Broadway’s Ambassador Theatre.
