Ulterior Motives: Funny lady Julia Mattison is returning to Feinstein's/54 Below by popular demand Wednesday October 13th as her old school, jazzy alter ego in Ruby Mangér: Vaxxed, Waxxed, and Entirely Unprepared. Mattison along with writing partner Noel Carey as Randy Newman will be joined by, as their show description mentions, "her traumatized band" - a seven piece ensemble with swinging orchestrations by Tony Award Winner Charlie Rosen. The show description alone is making us laugh out loud. We can't imagine what the night of the show will be like! Julia Mattison has been on Broadway in the most recent revival of Godspell, on TV's "Jimmy Kimmel Live!" and in the film How To Be Single. She has taken the stage at a number of venues across Manhattan including Joe's Pub and the Minetta Lane Theater.
