Nicky Ciampoli Shares His Five Ultimate Carol Channing Clips

Nicky Ciampoli makes his Feinstein’s/54 Below debut on April 14 in Nicky as Carol Channing, a Musical Revue. Nicky takes the stage recreating moments from Carol Channing’s iconic career from Broadway to Nashville to TV & film. Audiences can expect their favorite songs from Gentlemen Prefer Blondes, Show Girl, Hello, Dolly!, Thoroughly Modern Millie, and more.

In advance of the one-night-only concert, Nicky shares with BroadwayBox five of his all-time favorite Carol Channing video performances.

5. "Little Girl From Little Rock"/"Diamonds Are a Girl's Best Friend"

This clip gives an insight of what Carol Channing's take was as Lorelei Lee from the Broadway show Gentlemen Prefer Blondes.

4. "Doin' The Old Yahoo Step"

This is so Carol Channing the flapper girl that has charm as the zany blonde that created her character.

3. "Men" at The Tony Awards

I love these type of clips because they give us a look on how some of the performances were performed. Since most of them were not archived.

2. "Hello, Dolly!"

I love this clip because this is one of the only few film clips that are in existence of what the original Hello, Dolly! show was like from 1964.

1. "Diamonds are a Girl's Best Friend"/"Hello, Dolly!" at Gypsy of the Year

This is what happens when you become legend status is all I can say.
