Each day, the Bbox team trolls YouTube for the hot clip—sometimes it's a brand-new moment and sometimes it's a throwback to an oldie but goodie. No matter what praise hands are shot up, pearls are clutched and the repeat button is hit.

"As Long As He Needs Me" from Oliver! (Patti LuPone)

Ulterior Motives: Here's the brilliance of Patti LuPone singing a beautiful tune from the Lionel Bart Broadway musical Oliver! that opened on Broadway on this date in 1963. The musical, adapted by the Charles Dickens tale Oliver Twist, received two Broadway revivals following this original production including a 1984 revival at the Mark Hellinger Theatre with Ms. Patti LuPone in the role of Nancy singing of her immovable love for Bill Sikes.

Ultimate 🙌 🙌 moment: Can we take a minute to respect the confidence, strength and star quality Patti is exuding? This performance is beyond. There are two ultimate moments, it is impossible to select only one! First of all - this superstar does not remove her hands from her hips. We approve of this character choice. That one breath moment at 1:33 - 1:39 is thrilling. Her belt is like no other. Secondly, hold onto your hats at 2:45 through the end. The vocals (how she sings the word "needs" at 2:48 and all the vowels she uses), the arm choreo, star star star!
