Each day, the Bbox team trolls YouTube for the hot clip—sometimes it's a brand-new moment and sometimes it's a throwback to an oldie but goodie. No matter what praise hands are shot up, pearls are clutched and the repeat button is hit.

Egg Shaking Demo for Natasha, Pierre & the Great Comet of 1812 Broadway Cast Recording (Dave Malloy and Josh Groban)

Ulterior Motives: Cheers to Dave Malloy who is celebrating a birthday on January 4th! The award winning composer and lyricist authored Ghost Quartet, Moby-Dick, Octet and marvelously bestowed Broadway audiences with the fantastic musical adaptation of Tolstoy's War and Peace with Natasha, Pierre & the Great Comet of 1812 directed by Rachel Chavkin. Malloy portrayed Pierre Off-Broadway and ultimately made his Broadway stage debut as well in the role. To make the Original Broadway Cast album of the musical even that more special, a select group of fans were invited to perform on "Goodbye My Gypsy Lovers," "The Duel" and "Balaga" which features those famous egg shakers that were distributed during the musical for audience members.

Ultimate 🙌 🙌 moment: So two Pierres walk into a recording studio. Our ultimate moment is 0:27 - 0:37. No Josh is not letting his magnificent voice soar on one of Dave's incredible songs from the score in this special Hot Clip of the Day. Dave is conducting Grammy Award nominee Josh Groban on the egg shaker. We love Broadway so much.
