Each day, the Bbox team trolls YouTube for the hot clip—sometimes it's a brand-new moment and sometimes it's a throwback to an oldie but goodie. No matter what praise hands are shot up, pearls are clutched and the repeat button is hit.

"Fake Plastic Trees" (Duncan Sheik)

Ulterior Motives: He's a Grammy winner and a two time 2007 Tony Award winner for his magical score to Spring Awakening. Now singer/songwriter/composer Duncan Sheik is set to release his first live album Live at the Cafe Carlyle next week on Friday, December 4th on Sneaky Records / Missing Piece Records. This exciting new live album was recorded in October 2017. The 17 track album by the Billboard charting performer has provided the scores for theatre projects American Psycho, Alice By Heart, Secret Life of Bees, Because of Winn Dixie and Bob & Carol & Ted & Alice. Listeners will hear his iconic single "Barely Breathing, "Touch Me" from Spring Awakening with Tony Award nominee Kathryn Gallagher, "This Is Not An Exit" from American Psycho and covers like this tune from our Hot Clip of the Day, Radiohead's "Fake Plastic Trees."

Ultimate 🙌 🙌 moment: This album is sure to be astounding. We love Duncan's voice and his ease into a soulful falsetto during a song's most emotional moments. This cover of Radiohead's song is an awesome showcase for him. We love the simplicity of 2:10 - 2:36 and the chill orchestration under his powerful vocal. Check out Duncan's Live at the Cafe Carlyle on December 4th where you find your music.
