“Mama Will Provide” from Once On This Island

Ultimate 🙌 🙌 moment: This is CHURCH. Alex Newell (who now lives in the great hall of Tony snubs) SLAYS the vocals—he’s serving more here than the broll (which is insane)!! I first clutched my pearls at 1:20 but it was premature because I threw off my headphones and threw both hands up at 2:40.

“Apex Predator” from Mean Girls

Ultimate 🙌 🙌 moment: These girls are much more fierce than they are mean—everyone is serving a full performance here. The Plastics are cold, hard & shiny; Erika Henningsen as Cady is lovable AF and singing her face off; and then Ms. Barrett Wilbert Weed (from the House of Vocals) brings it to the next level. When they come together around 3:50—yas ma’am! It’s also a great showcase for their Tony-nominated choreography.

“Hero Is My Middle Name” from SponeBob SquarePants

Ultimate 🙌 🙌 moment: This Cyndi Lauper song is going to be stuck in your head all day. What a truly fun moment to put on TV! The praise moment comes courtesy of former Elphaba Lilli Cooper and her “hero” verse around 4:08.
