Ulterior Motives: We have loudly shouted on rooftops how marvelous we think James Kinney's choreo is and here he is again with a thrilling award winning dance short. Anyone was an Official Selection of the Venice Shorts 2020, the Utah Dance Film Festival and New York Short Film Festival winning the latter among a slew of other accolades. The short film boasts cinematography, editing and director of photography Pierre Marais beautifully capturing Kinney's exciting movement set on these exceptional dancers. Bask in the dreaminess of this five plus minutes of glorious dancing set to a beautiful score using Sondheim's "Anyone Can Whistle" and George & Ira Gershwin's "Love Is Here to Stay."

Ultimate 🙌 🙌 moment: The video opening with the excellent Yesenia Ayala, most recently Anita of Broadway's West Side Story, takes audiences with her on this fantastical walk in the park. Did you ever have those moments when you're listening to music and you feel like you're living in a music video? This short film feels like you're living through an MGM movie musical. Bursts of energy and joy conveyed through James Kinney's gorgeous choreography and danced by a talented cast - truly the best. Our favorite moment? 2:55 - 4:28. This section is over a minute with Yesenia and Ryan Steele but it is stunning. It's interspersed with the other couples but Yesenia and Ryan in this lovely location - they are absolutely floating through the dance.
