Each day, the Bbox team trolls YouTube for the hot clip—sometimes it's a brand-new moment and sometimes it's a throwback to an oldie but goodie. No matter what praise hands are shot up, pearls are clutched and the repeat button is hit.

"Up Above The Weather" (Reeve Carney)

Ulterior Motives: Reeve Carney is a phenomenal musician. That's the story. Have a great day!

We'll explain, we'll explain! If you have not heard the Hadestown star's 2017 album Youth Is Wasted, we suggest doing that right away. He's an incredible songwriter and for those of you who have not seen him in concert at his residencies at The Green Room 42, you will enjoy our hot clip of the day. How he excels on guitar, piano, percussion - he's an actual one man band with truly rock star vocals. For any guitar players out there, have a look at his new venture Quarantine Effects U.S.A., a collection of The Time Machine Preamplfiiers changing the tone of your guitar with an assortment of pedals changing its sounds from the 1950's to 1990's. Guitar aside, he is a beautiful piano player and this is our favorite track off of his album.

Ultimate 🙌 🙌 moment: Watching this clip makes us miss the intimacy and magic of gathering in a room and hearing live original music. We can't pinpoint it, but there's a certain sparkling quality about Reeve's voice that is truly divine. As we mentioned, this delicate tune is our favorite on his album. We love how at the very beginning, the song got entrance applause. Reeve has a dedicated group of fans and rightly so. Our ultimate moment is at 1:46-2:12. During this lovely piano interlude, watch Reeve's face. He is so intertwined with the music. We use the word magic a lot but how can you not with a performer and performance like this?
