Yellow Sound Label drops the original cast album for download and streaming beginning Friday, September 27. Anyone who experienced the stunning off-Broadway production at Playwrights Horizons has been waiting for this recording (and a B'way transfer!) for months, and it's finally here. With a book, music, and lyrics by Michael R. Jackson, A Strange Loop tells the story of Usher, a struggling musical theatre composer by day and a Disney usher by night. The role was a breakout moment for the show's star Larry Owens. In the exclusive track below, hear Larry (along with Antwayn Hopper, James Jackson Jr., L Morgan Lee, John-Michael Lyles, John-Andrew Morrison, & Jason Veasey) perform the musical's opening number "Intermission Song".
