This Friday, September 13, Vampirina songwriting duo Michael Kooman and Christopher Dimond debut the world-premiere recording of their new musical The Noteworthy Life of Howard Barnes. The original musical, which received its premiere at Seattle’s Village Theatre, follows the perfectly average Howard Barnes (sung by Joshua Carter) as his life suddenly and inexplicably gets turned into a living musical. Equal parts satire, romantic comedy, and a love letter to the American musical, The Noteworthy Life of Howard Barnes is a musical for people who love musical theater—and their spouses who hate it. Check out the album’s bonus track, in which OBIE winner Heidi Blickenstaff lends her killer vocals to Koonman and Dimond’s soaring ballad “Stay”.
