Hot Clip of the Day: Key Changes, A Mashup and 3 Time Tony …

Each day, the Bbox team trolls YouTube for the hot clip—sometimes it's a brand-new moment and sometimes it's a throwback to an oldie but goodie. No matter what praise hands are shot up, pearls are clutched and the repeat button is hit.

"Go Back Home" / "Change Is Gonna Come" (Joshua Henry)

Ulterior Motives: Broadway saw two opening nights on April 20th in 2010 and 2014 both featuring three time Tony nominee, one of the dreamiest, Joshua Henry. After making his Broadway debut in In The Heights, Joshua opened Green Day's American Idiot on April 20, 2010 as Favorite Son. In the years that followed, he took on Haywood Patterson in Kander & Ebb's The Scottsboro Boys and Jake in The Gershwins' Porgy and Bess. On April 20, 2014, Violet made its way to Broadway where he starred as Flick opposite Sutton Foster. Today's Hot Clip was from Joshua's concert at The Triad back in 2012 where he performed this divine mashup of "Go Back Home" from The Scottsboro Boys and the classic "Change Is Gonna Come."

Ultimate 🙌 🙌 moment: This clip is another one where we wish the whole thing could be an Ultimate 🙌 🙌 moment. Joshua easily has one of Broadway's greatest voices. If we HAD to choose one moment, I'm not sure it gets any better than the magic moment at 3:33. We got goosebumps writing about it. A key change and the seamless transition from "Change Is Gonna Come" back to "Go Back Home." Happy Monday friends!
