Have a Wild Party at Home as Iconic West Village Piano Bar …

Marie’s Crisis is a one-of-a-kind New York institution. A mecca for the musical theater fans, the West Village piano bar welcomes Broadway aficionados to come in, grab a drink, and sing showtunes aloud in a chorus setting—unless someone bought a solo, in which case, shush. It’s the kind of establishment that when you walk in, you feel at home.

But since they can’t pack them into the basement bar on Grove Street for a while, Time Out New York reports

that Marie’s Crisis is getting its act together and taking it on to livestream. The gifted and colorful pianists, who normally bang out Broadway tunes live, are playing their sets nightly on Marie’s Crisis Facebook Page from 4 PM-9:30 PM EST, with the piano players’ Venmo accounts linked so at-home singers can add to the virtual tip jar of these hard-working artists.

If by chance you’ve never experienced the wonder of Marie’s Crisis, here are some YouTube videos from Marie’s to give you an idea.
