Hot Clip of the Day: Sierra Boggess Sings a Camelot Classic

Each day, the Bbox team trolls YouTube for the hot clip—sometimes it's a brand-new moment and sometimes it's a throwback to an oldie but goodie. No matter what praise hands are shot up, pearls are clutched and the repeat button is hit.

"The Lusty Month of May" (Sierra Boggess)

Ulterior Motives: Where exactly did April go? Last month absolutely flew. Let's begin it with a glorious performance by the lovely Sierra Boggess. Enjoy as she takes on Guenevere's "The Lusty Month of May" from Lerner & Loewe's Camelot. The talented Broadway Sound with the John Wilson Orchestra begins the proceedings as part of the BBC Proms in 2012. Sierra takes the stage at 2:44.

Ultimate 🙌 🙌 moment: Sierra is such a joy. She is having a ball with the support of the evening's massive chorus. We love 4:27 where she peppers in some belting to her gorgeous soprano. Our ultimate moment though is unexpected. With a pitch perfect performance throughout, though we are always in awe of her voice, our favorite parts are so subtle: her pronunciation of "here," "year," and "appear" from 3:07 - 3:14. It's a delight and reminds us of the Golden Age of Broadway when this musical first graced the Great White Way in 1960 at the Majestic. Brava!
