Shining the spotlight today on Tony and Drama Desk Award winner Rob Ashford and his spectacular Broadway choreography credits.

Rob Ashford started out as a Broadway hoofer himself making his Broadway debut in that marvelous Lincoln Center Theater revival of Anything Goes starring Ms. Patti LuPone. The Most Happy Fella and Crazy For You were next on his Broadway resume. Not even a year later, Ashford started his run as a Swing/Dance Captain on a number of high profile Broadway musicals over the next 6 years with My Favorite Year, Victor / Victoria, and Parade. Ashford rose again working as assistant choreographer on Parade alongside dance legend Patricia Birch. In 1998, Ring Round the Moon marked his first Broadway associate choreographer credit working with the fantastic choreographer Kathleen Marshall with Kiss Me, Kate and Seussical to follow.

In 2002, Rob Ashford received his first Broadway choreographer credit AND Tony Award on the jazz age toe-tapper, Thoroughly Modern Millie starring Sutton Foster. We'll never get over his syncopated tap dancing choreo for "The Speed Test" - so fabulous!

Ashford has gone on to choreograph and direct some of Broadway's favorite shows. Most recently, you'll have seen his choreography performed by some of Broadway's most talented dancers on stage at the St. James Theater waltzing on Coronation Day in Disney's Frozen.

Let's go on a Choreo Spiral of Rob's incredible Broadway choreography career so far!
