Each day, the Bbox team trolls YouTube for the hot clip—sometimes it's a brand-new moment and sometimes it's a throwback to an oldie but goodie. No matter what praise hands are shot up, pearls are clutched and the repeat button is hit.

"A Musical" from Something Rotten! (Brian D'Arcy James, Brad Oscar and Original Broadway Cast)

Ulterior Motives: It's the weekend and we have three more months of 2020. More often than not, a great cast album can really boost your spirits. One of the shows that we immediately think of is Something Rotten! the original musical comedy written by Wayne Kirkpatrick, Karey Kirkpatrick and John O'Farrell. Audiences followed the story of brothers Nick and Nigel Bottom writing a musical alongside that famed up and coming writer William Shakespeare. The joy of discovering each musical referenced in the show's showstopping "A Musical" made us laugh and cheer which we could all use a lot of these days. Tunes "Welcome To The Renaissance," "Right Hand Man," and this spectacular number - we can listen to it on loop. Sit back, and let's relive this fabulous Broadway moment from 2015.

Ultimate 🙌 🙌 moment: The musical references are so so good! Some of the call outs are more obvious than others. Our favorite moment is without a doubt 3:31 - end. There are two so subtle musical tributes in the orchestrations that if you blink you'll miss them of Cats and Sweeney Todd. Those few musical bars are then followed by the iconic syncopated A Chorus Line headshot moments. Give the cast album a spin and have a wonderful first weekend of October.
