Hot Clip of the Day: Stop & Hear NYU's Hairspray Star Casey…

Each day, the Bbox team trolls YouTube for the hot clip—sometimes it's a brand-new moment and sometimes it's a throwback to an oldie but goodie. No matter what praise hands are shot up, pearls are clutched and the repeat button is hit.

"I Can Hear the Bells" (Casey Whyland & Company, Hairspray presented by Tisch New Theatre & NYU Skirball Center)

Ulterior Motives: This past weekend NYU Tisch New Theatre, producer Jason Arnold, and director/choreography Marc Anthony Ferre presented the Tony Award-winning musical Hairspray, and it was fantastic—in large part due to the starring performance from sophomore Casey Whyland (who was Tracy Atkinson in the OBC of Billy Elliot). #CastHerNBC

Ultimate 🙌 🙌 moment: As you can see from the exclusive clip, Whyland's Tracy is a totally original creation. For me, the praise hand moments are fast and furious and peppered throughout, but let's go with the "french-kissing" at 2:39 and "till death do us part" at 3:19.
