Editor Shout Outs to Deceptive Doctors, Famous Presidents &…

BroadwayBox editor Josh Ferri calls your attention to the three-most exciting theatrical events happening in NYC the week of February 10.

3. The Perfect Doctor Is In
The York Theatre Company recruited some heavy-weight Broadway talent to star in the second Musicals in Mufti Series offering, Malpractice Makes Perfect. For five performances February 14 through February 16, you can see Tony winner Cady Huffman, two-time Tony nominee Robin De Jesus, Tony nominee Brad Oscar, YouTube sensation Christina Bianco, David Ayers, Robb Sapp and more share the stage in a new Sheldon Harnick musical based one of Moliere’s comedy of manners (a woodcutter is mistaken for a doctor and comedy ensues). Whatever your ailment, the prescription is laugher, and Malpractice Makes Perfect offers plenty of it.

2. Bryan Cranston Makes His Broadway Debut
Emmy Award winner Bryan Cranston takes the stage leading the company of the new Broadway drama All The Way. This is Cranston’s Main Stem debut and his first project after Breaking Bad’s acclaimed run, so expectations are high. Cranston plays President LBJ in this riveting drama focusing on the former president's participation in the Civil Rights Act. Chances are, this new play is going to be a big hit, so you will want to see it early.

1. The Italian Stallion Arrives in NYC
Speaking of big hits you want to snag tickets to early, the new musical adaptation of Rocky begins at Broadway’s famed Winter Garden Theatre this week. Yes, your initial reaction might be Rocky Balboa singing and dancing?! But let us assure you; with this Tony-winning creative team and Sly Stallone overseeing the proceedings, this show is going to really surprise theater audiences. Andy Karl and Margo Seibert are giving knock-out performances as the show's romantic leads, Rocky and Adrian. Performances begin on February 13, and by February 14, all of New York will be abuzz.
