“When I was a kid they would take us on field trips to the local dinner theater and I saw a children’s production of The Velveteen Rabbit—I was in second grade. And something transformed onstage, and I was completely like, ‘how is this happening? And I have to do this. I have to know all the magic.’ And now I know all the magic.”
