Introduce Yourself(ie): 10 Questions with Gazillion Bubble …

For Deni Yang the family business is the international sensation Gazillion Bubble Show. His father is world-renowned record-breaker Fan Yang, and Deni, his mother Ana and his sister Melody all star in the long-running off-Broadway show. For the kids in your life or the young at heart, there's nothing like seeing what the Yangs can do with bubbles. Below, BroadwayBox gets to know Deni a bit better as we talk bubbles, world records, and his passion for outdoor adventure.

1. My most cherished Gazillion Bubble Show memory has been:
The opportunity to work with Steve Harvey on his show and being able to just play and go off script and enjoy the bubbles. To see the audiences reaction, and giving the opportunity for a child with her life support system to come on stage to participate with the other kids.

2. My biggest bubble mishap has been:
The biggest bubble mishap I have encountered during the show is working in dry climates. As you know, bubbles are pretty much a liquid floating sphere. So even the smallest dust particle or extremely dry weather can cause the bubble to burst. As an artist I have to calculate my timing to be able to complete a trick by considering the environment I am in at the time.

3. What I love most about New York audiences is:
I have worked in many different cities and countries around the world but New York is one of my favorites because usually New Yorkers have seen plenty of different shows/plays/musicals. So this becomes more challenging and fun too because it forces to me to perform giving it my all no matter what kind of day I am having. By the end of the show the New York audiences have an appreciation for this.

4. Best piece of advice I've received from my dad about bubbles:
The best advice I have received from my father is to always remain calm and positive. It's funny because at first when a bubble pops or if a trick doesn't turn out the way you want it to, I would normally get frustrated and rush the next trick. But with this advice by remaining calm and positive, it helped me perform better and my bubble tricks actually do last longer.

5. If I could own a gazillion of anything, it would be:
Outdoor sports equipment, my life would be complete to be able to do all idiotic things outdoors or underwater or falling from planes.

6. Random or imaginary world record I think I could break:
The world smallest bubble. Lol

7. TV show I never miss:
The Walking Dead and Game of Thrones.

8. Movie I love so much I know every word:
The Incredibles

9. My favorite place in the world is:
New York City and The Gold Coast in Brisbane, Australia

10. Two things I'm really passionate about outside of bubbles and performing:
I am a crazy adrenaline junkie. Anything that keeps my heart pounding I love because these are things I feel keep me alive. I love snowboarding and wakeboarding. These 2 are my favorite things to do along with spending time with my 2 huskies.

See Deni Yang perform magic with bubbles in off-Broadway's long-running family hit 'Gazillion Bubble Show' at New World Stages.
