Hot Clip of the Day: Pour One Out for the Fabulous Broadway…

Each day, the Bbox team trolls YouTube for the hot clip—sometimes it's a brand-new moment and sometimes it's a throwback to an oldie but goodie. No matter what praise hands are shot up, pearls are clutched and the repeat button is hit.

1986 Tony Awards' Broadway Medley

The Particulars: You're seeing Ann Reinking, Juliet Prowse, Sandy Duncan, Bea Arthur, Nell Carter, Karen Morrow, Bernadette Peters, Rex Smith, Dorothy Loudon, Cleo Laine, Stephanie Powers, Hal Linden, Leslie Uggams, Helen Hayes performing from West Side Story, Gypsy, Sound of Music, Annie, Ain't Misbehavin, A Chorus Line, Sweeney Todd, Hair, Fiorello, Damn Yankees, Flower Drum Song, My Fair lady, and The Pajama Game.

Ultimate 🙌 🙌 moment: Too many to name. Seeing Ann Reinking dancing all those epic moments is a gift; when Bernadette Peters comes in with "Some People" at 3:13—perfection; but damn if I didn't give Dorothy Loudon mid-office entrance applause for Annie at 4:52. (Also Bea Arthur's hand placement on the shoulder during "Easy Street" should've received a special event Tony nomination.)

Bea Arthur singing Mrs. Lovett (5:59) is a Bway fantasy I never knew I had until I saw it.
