Scroll on as BroadwayBox reacts in 1980s-centric GIFs to hearing the exceptional cast recording for the first time.1. Four Jews In a Room Bitching (Christian Borle, Andrew Rannells, Brandon Uranowitz, Anthony Rosenthal, & Stephanie J. Block)

I’m already giddy. Also when SJB comes in with “slavery” I all but fell off my chair. I’m not ready for this.
2. A Tight-Knit Family/Love Is Blind (Christian Borle, Andrew Rannells, Brandon Uranowitz, Anthony Rosenthal, & Stephanie J. Block)

SJB is already slaying me. This cast is seriously beyond.
3. The Thrill of First Love (Christian Borle & Andrew Rannells)

This is going to be one of my most played tracks. I pressed repeat as soon as it was over. They sound awesome and you can’t help but move along.
4. Marvin at the Psychiatrist—A Three-Part Mini-Opera (Christian Borle, Andrew Rannells, Brandon Uranowitz & Anthony Rosenthal)

Legit mood. Holding my heart and all.

6. This Had Better Come to a Stop (Christian Borle, Andrew Rannells, Anthony Rosenthal, Brandon Uranowitz, & Stephanie J. Block)

Adding it to every playlist I have on my phone. SJB opting up the octave…dead. Tony number?!
7. I’m Breaking Down (Stephanie J. Block)

I’m not going to even pretend this wasn’t the first track I listened to, then I went back and started it chronologically. Five stars. Also don’t act like we are not all going to be singing along to this full out, inflections and all, in the shower and car.
8. Please Come to Our Home/Jason’s Therapy (Stephanie J. Block, Christian Borle, Andrew Rannells, Anthony Rosenthal, & Brandon Uranowitz)

OMG YAS! This was one of my favorite moments in the production and the album captures it perfectly. Uranowitz & Rosenthal SLAY. The GIF above is me dancing to “Why don’t you feel alright for the rest of your life” on repeat.
9. A Marriage Proposal/A Tight-Knit Family (Brandon Uranowitz, Stephanie J. Block, & Christian Borle)

10. Trina’s Song/March of the Falsettos (Stephanie J. Block, Christian Borle, Andrew Rannells, Anthony Rosenthal, & Brandon Uranowitz)

Again, SJB is singing the absolute hell of this score. Praise hands, pearl clutching, the works. Then the middle part is just random turn up fun.

Yaaaassss.
12. Making a Home (Stephanie J. Block, Anthony Rosenthal, Brandon Uranowitz, & Andrew Rannells)

Selfie.
13. The Games I Play (Andrew Rannells)

And I’m dead. That was stunning. Bravo!

15. I Never Wanted to Love You (Christian Borle, Andrew Rannells, Brandon Uranowitz, Anthony Rosenthal, & Stephanie J. Block)

This is truly a stellar recording. All the pain and emotion happening over at the Walter Kerr is here, perfectly preserved.
16. Father to Son (Christian Borle & Anthony Rosenthal)

Just gorgeous.
1. Falsettoland/About Time (Company)

Me dancing to "Falsettoland" like. Also, going on all my playlists.
2. Year of the Child (Christian Borle, Brandon Uranowitz, Anthony Rosenthal, Betsy Wolfe, Tracie Thoms, & Stephanie J. Block)

I’m still not over SJB rn. Sorry not sorry. Then Betsy Wolfe comes in, and I went full Winona at the end of ‘Beetlejuice’
3. Miracle of Judaism (Anthony Rosenthal)

What a talent Anthony Rosenthal is. Also these lyrics really tap into a universal feeling of being that age.
4. The Baseball Game (Company)

Well that was 4 minutes and 44 seconds of pure MF joy!
5. A Day in Falsettoland (Company)

All the praise hands for Brandon Uranowitz at the start of this track. My gosh, what performances they are all giving here. I LIVED my life beginning at the 5-minute mark and then again for the last 30 seconds.
6. Everyone Hates His Parents (Christian Borle, Brandon Uranowitz, Anthony Rosenthal, & Stephanie J. Block)

This track took a while to get into, but once it became about Uranowitz and Rosenthal I couldn’t stop smiling.
7. What More Can I Say (Christian Borle)

8. Something Bad Is Happening/More Racquetball (Tracie Thoms, Betsy Wolfe, Christian Borle, Andrew Rannells)

The ladies sound killer here.
9. Holding to the Ground (Stephanie J. Block)

Ok, this is my favorite song in the score and it did not disappoint. Good gosh. I am forcing myself to only press repeat 3 times so I could move on. PERFECTION.
10. Days Like This (Company)

Yes, I smiled my entire way through that song. =D
11. Canceling the Bar Mitzvah (Brandon Uranowitz, Anthony Rosenthal, & Stephanie J. Block)

Ok kids, it's getting heavy and it's getting real.
12. Unlikely Lovers (Tracie Thoms, Betsy Wolfe, Christian Borle, Andrew Rannells)

13. Another Miracle of Judaism (Anthony Rosenthal)

This is heartbreaking.
14. Something Bad Is Happening Reprise (Tracie Thoms)

Doing this all at once is a lot. Tracie is breaking my heart right now, and I need a glass of wine.
15. You Gotta Die Sometime (Andrew Rannells)

WOW! That was AMAZING. Full on clapping in the office.
16. Jason’s Bar Mitzvah (Company)

Taking deep, calming breaths through this like.
17.What Would I Do? (Christian Borle & Andrew Rannells)

My gosh. How absolutely stunning. I need to see this again.
18. Falsettoland Reprise (Brandon Uranowitz)

How do you even come back from that? This is sure to be remembered as one of the best cast recordings of 2016. My gosh, how gorgeous and moving.
