The new Broadway musical The Prom

is highly anticipated among theatre fans in the know. It’s a show about a troupe of Broadway stars fresh off their latest flop who make it their mission to help a lesbian teenager take her girlfriend to prom, despite her hometown’s protests. It’s going to be touching and camp, and super timely. It also sounds like an insidery treat.

Bringing the The Prom to Broadway are the dream team of musical comedy stars: Tony Award winner Beth Leavel as the great, self-absorbed stage actress Dee Dee Allen, LOL Tony nominee Brooks Ashmanskas as Barry Glickman, Tony nominee Christopher Sieber as Trent Oliver, the killer dancer Angie Schworer as Angie, and the laugh riot Josh Lamon as publicist Sheldon Saperstein. Get to know each of these wild characters in the videos below.

Dee Dee Allen (Beth Leavel)

Barry Glickman (Brooks Ashmanskas)

Trent Oliver (Chris Sieber)

Angie (Angie Schworer)

The Prom begins previews at the Longacre Theatre on October 23.
