Former off-Broadway Hedwig and film star Ally Sheedy (The Breakfast Club, St. Elmo’s Fire, High Art, Psych) adapts and directs the new one-woman-show Turning 15 on the Road to Freedom. Based on the Civil Rights memoir, the true story of Lynda Blackmon, one of the youngest participants in the Selma to Montgomery March in 1965 who was jailed nine times before her fifteenth birthday. Newcomer Damaras Obi stars as Lynda at the Sanctuary Theater at the Center at West Park through January 20. Below, get a first look at the show in these exclusive production photos.

The final performances of this powerful, moving new play are Friday, January 19 at 8:00 PM and Saturday, January 20 at 3:00 PM & 8:00 PM.
