Tickets at Circle in the Square Theatre

The Circle in the Square Theatre is a legitimate Broadway theater designed by Alan Sayles. It was built on the site of the famed Capitol Movie House and is one of two theaters now located inside the building known as Paramount Plaza. Its first Broadway production was in 1972.


The auditorium is one of two Broadway theaters that use a thrust stage that extends into the audience on three sides.


Circle in the Square Theatre provides audio description devices for every performance at the theater. The theater also offers hand-held devices that provide captioning for deaf or hard of hearing patrons. There is a representative at the audience services desk at every performance to assist any patron with the audio description services or captioning devices.

The first Broadway revival of The Miracle Worker stars Academy Award® nominee Abigail Breslin (Little Miss Sunshine) and Tony Award® nominee Alison Pill (The Lieutenant of Inishmore) as Helen Keller and Annie Sullivan, iconic roles made famous by Anne Bancroft and Patty Duke in the Tony Award-winning play and landmark feature film adaptation. Set in the South in the 1880s, The Miracle Worker tells the story of real-life Medal of Freedom winner Helen Keller, who suddenly lost her sight and hearing at the age of 19 months, and the extraordinary teacher who taught her to communicate with the world, Annie Sullivan.
