Tickets at Todd Haimes Theatre

The Todd Haimes Theatre was built in 1918 by producers (and brothers) Arch and Edgar Selwyn and was originally named The Selwyn Theatre. Like many other theaters, it fell victim to the economic woes of the Great Depression and became a movie house in the 1930s.

The venue was a movie theater for almost 70 years, until it was purchased by the Roundabout Theatre Company in the late 1990s. After an expensive overhaul, it reopened as The American Airlines Theatre in 2000. In January 2024, the theater was renamed in memory of Roundabout Theatre Company's longtime artistic director and chief executive Todd Haimes.

Story for Roundabout Exclusive Presale

Broadway Box is offering advance access to On the Twentieth Century and The Real Thing through July 13th only. Buy now for the best seats!

ON THE TWENTIETH CENTURY
Roundabout Theatre Company presents a hilarious new production of ON THE TWENTIETH CENTURY, the Tony®-winning musical comedy from the creators of Sweet Charity (composer Cy Coleman), Singin’ in the Rain (lyricist-librettists Betty Comden and Adolph Green), After Midnight (Tony-winning choreographer Warren Carlyle) and Curtains (Tony-nominated director Scott Ellis).

Luck, love and mischief collide aboard the Twentieth Century, a luxury train, when the bankrupt theater producer Oscar Jaffe (Golden Globe® winner Peter Gallagher) embarks on a madcap mission to cajole glamorous Hollywood starlet Lily Garland (Tony Award® winner Kristin Chenoweth) into playing the lead in his new, non-existent epic drama. But is the train ride long enough to reignite the spark between these former lovers, create a play from scratch, and find the money to get it all the way to Broadway? Grab your ticket and hop onboard this fun-filled musical journey to The Great White Way!

THE REAL THING
Two-time Golden Globe® nominee Ewan McGregor is Henry, a playwright not so happily married to Charlotte (Tony Award® winner Cynthia Nixon), the lead actress in his play about a marriage on the verge of collapse. When Henry’s affair with their friend Annie (Academy Award® nominee Maggie Gyllenhaal) threatens to destroy his own marriage, he discovers that life has started imitating art. After Annie leaves her husband so she and Henry can begin a new life together, he can’t help but wonder whether their love is fiction or the real thing. Tom Stoppard's (The Coast of Utopia) Tony Award®-winning play returns to Broadway in Roundabout Theatre Company’s stirring and sensual production directed by Sam Gold (The Realistic Joneses). Delectably witty and deeply affecting, THE REAL THING takes a daring glimpse at relationships, fidelity, and the passions that often blur our perception of love.
