Story for ELF

One of the most beloved Hollywood holiday hits of the past decade is born again - on the Broadway stage! Elf is an original musical that brings to life the heartwarming and hilarious tale of Buddy, an orphan who accidentally climbs into Santa's sack, is transported back to the North Pole and grows up with the elves in Santa's Workshop. Buddy mistakenly believes he is really one of Santa's elves, until he finally must face the truth about who he is, and he sets off for New York to find his family.
One of Broadway’s favorite holiday musicals is back! Based on the hilarious Hollywood hit, Elf follows Buddy, a larger-than-life orphan who mistakenly believes he’s one of Santa’s elves. Featuring an all-star creative team led by the Tony Award®-winning director/choreographer Casey Nicholaw (The Book of Mormon, Spamalot, The Drowsy Chaperone), the Tony®-winning book writers Thomas Meehan (Hairspray, The Producers, Annie) and Bob Martin (The Drowsy Chaperone) and the Tony®-nominated songwriting team of Matthew Sklar and Chad Beguelin (The Wedding Singer), Elf returns after nearly sold-out engagement two years ago to Broadway’s Al Hirschfeld Theatre this November for just nine weeks! If you only see one holiday show this season, pick the one that towers above the rest.

Elf the Musical, on Broadway November 9 – January 6, 2013.
