Story for Cyrano De Bergerac

Academy Award and Tony Award winner Kevin Kline returns to Broadway to star as one of the most beloved stage heroes of all time, the soulful swordsman with the legendary silhouette, Cyrano de Bergerac. This is a monumental production of Edmond Rostand's classic tale of love, honor and deception, translated and adapted by Anthony Burgess. Based on a true story, CYRANO DE BERGERAC tells of the brilliant philosopher/poet who falls in love with a beautiful woman, Roxane (Garner), but is too ashamed to tell her because of his large nose. When Cyrano learns that Roxane loves his winsome but dull-witted comrade Christian (Sunjata), he secretly pens love letters to her on Christian's behalf. Roxane falls for the ruse, but which man has she actually fallen for?
