Story for A Treasury of Jewish Christmas Songs

Celebrate year round when Broadway, TV and Film Star Jake Ehrenreich performs his Smooth Jazz tribute to the Jewish songwriters behind the Christmas Classics. Based on the highly acclaimed 2017 CD release with Grammy Winner and Oscar Nominee Roger Kellaway. Superb musicianship, multi media and fascinating behind the scene stories.

Growing up in Brooklyn, Jake Ehrenreich – a child of Holocaust survivors – wanted nothing more than to fit in. A musical prodigy, he did so through all forms of American popular music. But he kept his deep love of Christmas music hidden.

As an adult, Jake learned that many of his Christmas favorites were written by people much like himself – as in the case of Isadore Beilin (born Irving Berlin) who wrote the classic White Christmas, and whose parents also fled Eastern Europe for the US.

Jake Ehrenreich uses his years of experience to connect to the audience like no one else on the scene. Backed by a swinging quartet, he performs unique new renditions of classic songs including White Christmas, Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer, Let it Snow, I’ll be home for Christmas, Christmas Time is Here, The Christmas Song and many more– all written by Jewish songwriters. Also featured are many rarely heard verses to these songs.
