Approval Junkie (NY) Tickets

From the first few moments coming in to the theatre - to the last lines of the show - everything just went perfectly. Faith Sallie is a wonderful performer / presenter - and shares so many intimate moments of her life that we relate to - and the way she shares these stories is so moving - and so interesting - I can only hope she has a follow up show! (Oh the theatre is one of those perfectly intimate NYC off B'dway places - in a part fo the city that is remarkable and like no other part of the city at all.

Faith took me on a journey through her life and adventures in Childhood, Dating, Marriage, and Motherhood. Her stories were hilarious and clever, never contrived. She explores coming into her own. self love and approval...with honesty and humor. Her stories make you feel that you can relate to her experiences personally even if your experience is different. I would see it again if it played longer. I highly recommend this show and her book!

Approval Junkie was absolutely wonderful. Faith Salie was raw and honest about her story. She tugs at all of your emotions in the show- joy and sadness with comical relief. Her performance was excellent and would highly recommend her show!

Faith has a great story to tell but with all of the movement around the stage and skipping from one story to the next, I felt like i was watching a trailer for her book. I didnt feel like i was able to feel sink deeply with her into the significance of the various experiences because of the speed and movement. I also didnt feel the theme - approval junkie - arise through the stories. It felt as though the last scene was her way to bring it all together, but it somehow felt too abrupt.

At times hysterically funny, at times gut wrenching honest.
