Mr. Patinkin has indeed had an extraordinary career. In his 1980 Broadway debut, he won a Tony Award for his role as Che in Evita, and he later gave what many regard as one of the definitive performances in a Broadway musical in the last thirty years, as George in Sondheim's Sunday in the Park with George. He has since appeared in acclaimed roles on Broadway, as well as having a prodigious career in film, television and recording. In addition to being one of our nation's greatest musical theatre actors, Mr. Patinkin is also a consummate Shakespearean actor who has appeared in acclaimed productions of Henry IV and The Winter's Tale at The New York Shakespeare Festival.
