About The Glass Menagerie Broadway:

The Glass Menagerie plays at Laura Pels Theatre
111 West 46th Street, NY, NY - Map

Seating chart & directions

Roundabout Theatre Company welcomes two-time Tony Award winner Judith Ivey back to Broadway as the domineering Amanda Wingfield in this fresh interpretation of Tennessee Williams' haunting memory play. Director Gordon Edelstein's bld new production, which also features patch Darragh as Tom and Keira Keeley as Laura, arrived in New york following its critically acclaimed engagement at the Long Wharf Theatre in New Haven. The Glass Menagerie is a gripping portrait of a Southern family struggling to maintain the fragile balance between a painful past and an uncertain future.

Tom Wingfield (Patch Darragh) sits writing in a hotel room, trying to forge his past into art. Soon Tom's space is overtaken by the cramped apartment he once shared with his mother Amanda (Judith Ivey), his beloved sister Laura (Keira Keeley) and unrequited dreams as fragile as Laura's collection of tiny glass animals. There, Tom relives the Gentleman Caller's visit - the night that changed his family forever.

Previews begin March 5, 2010 at the Laura Pels Theatre Harold and Miriam Steinberg Cener for Theatre.
