Summary

CLOUD 8 is the story of a week-long all-inclusive therapeutic retreat set on a sprawling country estate. At the helm of these 7 days of life coaching, stands THE CAPTAIN. An enigmatic career military man, whose latest mission is... you. This is where it all begins. The cultural de-programming, the life affirmation, and the re-booting of the mental template in all of us. The Captain is a former special forces, black ops, and CIA operative. He was also a pioneer in government programs of behavior modification. As the Captain weaves his way deftly through the talking points of Love, the gullibility of man, and God…there is the realization that all is not what it seems. CLOUD 8 may just be bringing everyone closer to heaven faster than ever imagined.

CLOUD 8 is a new play by actor/playwright Scott Decker, after a critically acclaimed run at Manhattan Repertory Theater's SummerFest 2012, has been picked up to preview Off-Broadway at Theatre 80 beginning Sept 4th.

This is Decker's first play to break through to a professional Off-Broadway run. After his first play garnered rave reviews for himself and director Sean Patrick Reilly, the duo began immediately working on more collaborative work. His second play, FELONY FRIDAY attracted iconic living legend John Amos back to the stage, and sold-out every night and Encore preentation at the 2011 New York Fringe Festival. Since walking out on a nine year bouncer/bodyguard career last Fall and working on a variety of television roles, Scott has written eight plays, including BLESSED WITH ANGER, THE DEAD HOOKER PLAY, and THE WAR OF ART, all under development in some form or another.
