Adding Machine is a new musical based on Elmer Rice’s fascinating and incendiary 1923 expressionist play. At once grimly comic and heartbreakingly beautiful, Adding Machine tells the story of everyman Mr. Zero and his journey through life, death and romance as a literally nameless cog in American business. After finding that his pencil and paper efforts have been replaced after twenty-five soul crushing years on the job by an adding machine, Mr. Zero decides to exact revenge by murdering his boss.
