Review by: Denny, Mar 23, 2013 |
| The show was great for those who like the "F" bomb in everyother sentence. I have to thank GOD I did not bring my oldest granddaughter who is taking music in middle school. I really wanted to (just to show her what it was like to see and hear Frankie Valli) but you can be assured that I would have removed us upon the first utterance. Rest assures I will not attend another performance. |

I loved it! Review by: LNT4eva, Nov 29, 2012 |
| I loved the show. Born and raised in North Jersey so loved hearing the references to towns and places I know. I was born in 1976...... And I loved this show and music! This music is timeless.....I remember my mother speaking of the 4 seasons and all their songs are so catchy! My boyfriend loved it as well....and we are around the same age. I like the fast moving style of the show so you never got bored with an act that was too long ... read more like other shows I have seen. People on here complain about the dialogue and cursing. Well to me, it was no big deal. A bit excessive sure but I wouldn't discourage anyone from seeing this based on that aspect alone. It was fun! The music was terrific! |

Great Music; Horrific Dialogue. Review by: Liz, Sep 18, 2012 |
| We went to the Vancouver Sunday show with high expectations after reading rave reviews on line and from other people. However we were completely unprepared with the extravagant expletives which, in our opinion, unnecessary. The Valli part couldn't hit the high falsettos but was generally good in the lower keys. The music was great as we expected. The set was simple but effective. And the acting was convincing, telling us personal stories of ... read more the band. We grew up with this music and although, foul language do exist, yet I remember that they were rare and propriety was always exercised. Unfortunately for many of our friends, they will not spend their money to have their ears assaulted. Too bad. |

Disappointed in lead singer Review by: Bobbie, Jun 6, 2012 |
| I was so excited that The Jersey Boys were returning to Atlanta in 2012. I saw them in 2010 and was blown away by the show....it was wonderful. I was very disappointed in the young man that played Frankie Valli this time in 2012. His voice was so nasally that some of the audience laughed thinking it was a joke. The first time I saw the show in 2010 I thought the person that played Frankie Valli sang better than Frankie Valli did. ... read more It's a shame. Eventhough I loved the show I went away very disappointed. |

Wish I wouldn't have wasted money on something that wasn't the quality I expected. Review by: mk, May 22, 2012 |
Having seen Jersey Boys in Chicago about 3 yrs. ago, I was elated to be able to attend again May 20th in Kansas City. As it turned-out, I was sorely disappointed. The way that the story line was presented was different & quite boring compared to the old Chicago performance. Brad Weinstock, who played Frankie Valli cannot sing like Mr. Valli, although he gave it a good attempt. Besides most of his speech being "extremely" nasal sounding, so was ... read more his voice. In addition, he frequently sang somewhat off-key. I'm 65 & grew-up listening to Frankie Valli, who hit every note preciously and never slid into notes. I can't imagine why Mr. Valli would approve to have someone this inferior sing his music unless he figured most people don't have an ear for tone & wouldn't notice. Shame.

Please don't sing along. Review by: adrlouis, Mar 10, 2012 |
| A comment on the review below from Charlotte, NC: The language used in the show doesn't bother me since it's a realistic representation of the characters involved. What really annoying is people in the audience who decide to dance and sing along. Your fellow audience members are not paying to hear you sing. |

Profanity Left a Bad Taste in Our Mouths Review by: Reenie114, Mar 10, 2012 |
| I saw this show in Charlotte, NC last night. It was a fabulous show and I have to say that the actors sounded better than the originals. The actor who played Frankie Valli sounded aweseome as well as the others. It's too bad that the show was overshadowed by all the profanity. I felt like the profanity was not really needed in order for us to understand the story. I don't recall a warning about the language. Everytime the "f" ... read more bomb was dropped, you could feel a large portion of the audience cringe, so I know it just wasn't me. We almost left at intermission, but were intriqued to see the rest of the show. It would have been just as good without the language. Left us with a bad taste in our mouths. I even heard people standing in line at the restrooms complaining about the language. Don't take your kids to see this one, folks! Although, beyond the language, it was fantastic! Can't say enough about the actors. |

Great musical talent - disgusting/filthy language- Review by: lit, Mar 9, 2012 |
| Experienced the Jersey Boys in Charlotte NC. If I could have skipped the first 45 minutes I would have rated this musical the best I have seen in years. The entire cast is extremely talented. I hate to see this talent overshadowed by the profanity used - more heavily in the beginning. Yes, you are warned prior of authentic New Jersey language - but had no idea how bad it was. This show could have been authentic without the ... read more overwhelming use of inappropriate language. Disrespecting to the audience to have to sit through this. However the remainder of the show was wonderful. Dancing and singing along. Do not recommend the first 45 minutes of this show to anyone!!!! |

Got Er Done in New York the Jersey Way! Review by: rodeonav, Mar 8, 2012 |
| Bus trip with a group of 50 - all mostly baby boomers who grew up with the Four Seasons music. All seated in Orchestra rows Q-S, left and right. From the opening number to the closing number - the production "rocked". I've never heard such audience response and applause in my attendance at nearly 50 productions - it was that GREAT! My only criticism was audio sound levels were "off". Our group was unanimous in rating this production a "10". ... read more The character of Tommy DeVito was as "Jersey" as it gets - just spot on. The deep baritone of the Nick Massi character was superb. Bob Gaudio's character was played with finesse. And then we come to Frankie Valli's character - what a falsetto voice if there ever was one - probably much better than the real Frankie's these day's - though I would admit that his voice on the original recordings were "golden". The small orchestra was magnificent - the "horn" section added pizazz to many numbers. We waited for so long to see Jersey Boys - it all came together last night at 7 pm. Run - don't walk to see "Jersey Boys" - you won't be disappointed! |

Jersey Boys is amazing! I'm 24 (aka, not from the era of Frankie & The Four Seasons), and I still loved all the music. As soon as I got home from the show, DLed some of my favorite song from the show. I don't know what some people are talking about with the profane language/content in this show. I went with a 12 y/o to see the show, and I didnt find anything offensive/inappropriate. And if you did find it offensive, its ... read more YOUR fault for not doing your research first....or maybe you're just uptight. LOVED IT! Review by: FLAGRL, Jan 29, 2012 |
| Fabulous! I am in my 30's, so not my generation, but I know the songs. This show is probably now in my Top 3 as most favorite Broadway Shows. I would consider the show Rated R due to the profanity, but if see any rated R movies now day's, it shouldn't be that shocking, but just more of a reality of the culture. |

Profanity not Necessary Review by: Mac, Jan 23, 2012 |
| I grew up in South Jersey during this period. No one went around saying "F...ing this and F...ing that. 40 years ago that was still pretty much a taboo word. This is typical of the Hollywood crowd aiding and abetting the decline in our moral values. Clean up the language and the show would be great. |
