Michael C. Hall, Lena Hall & the Show's Creators Dreamcast …

Golden Globe winner Michael C. Hall (Dexter, Six Feet Under) is the latest headliner to don the blonde Hedwig wig over at the Belasco Theatre. Hall plays the title role in the Tony-winning revival of Hedwig and the Angry Inch from October 16 through January 4, 2015—following in the heels of Tony winner Neil Patrick Harris and Tony nominee Andrew Rannells. BroadwayBox recently caught up with Hall, his Tony-winning co-star Lena Hall & the creators of Hedwig and the Angry Inch and asked each of them to dreamcast their ideal Hedwig/Yitzhak pair in a pre-1985 production.

It would have to be David Bowie and K.D. Lang. But John Travolta would have been interesting at that time because he could really sing and act, and Nina Hagen—she could have played Hedwig or Yitzhak.

Tab Hunter and Twiggy.

Justin Craig (Tits of Clay musician)

Iggy Pop as Hedwig and maybe Joan Jett.

I want Peter Sellers as my Hedwig, and just to see how she would do: Marilyn Monroe. It’s gonna be a tough role but I have faith in her.

Tim Mislock (Tits of Clay musician)

Robert Downey Jr. and Bernadette Peters as Yitzhak. That would be a really cool combination I think.

Hedwig would be Elliot Gould and Yitzhak, early Cybill Shepherd.
