I was in the second row center for the most thrilling theater experience I've had in a long time. I saw the show when Glenn Close originally did it but the Palace production was the best! Mind you, just being in the Palace is a show biz history rush in itself! The performance was so electric the audience gave multiple standing ovations for several numbers! The orchestrations were dynamite and having the orchestra on stage was a double pleasure. A phenomenal performance by all involved down to the ushers!!! Just the very best on Broadway!

fantastic show

All I can say is that I loved loved loved it. Glenn Close was awesome and the music was so warm and lovely that deserved there standing ovation as well. The cast was very cool especially Joe the broke but humble screen writer. let me say again that I loved every minute of the show especially the ending. when her caretaker told her that your the great Norma Desmond and your Fans await and the music kicked in I did shed a tear. Glenn Deserved her ovations and more and I will see it again before it leaves Broadway. The Best I have seen in years.

Fabulous Revival!

I LOVED the original Broadway production of SUNSET but missed seeing Close and saw with Betty Buckley and closing night with Elaine Paige. As lavish and opulent as the original sets were, I much prefer this revival with more minimal, conceptual sets and enhanced costumes for Norma Desmond. There are some tweets to inject a bit of humor occasionally and the audience is focused much more on the rich score and songs. Glenn Close is superb showing why she earned a Tony Award for originating this role. Our audience seemed predominantly Close fans eager to see her reprise this role. I never before was part of a standing ovation following a song in the body of a play but Close received one after her big song "As If We Never Said Goodbye" early in act II. One of my greatest experiences on Braodway ever-I finally saw Glenn Close in her Tony Award winning role! Don't miss this show!
