Story for Play Dead

Teller and Todd Robbins invite you to their new thriller at The Players Theatre. PLAY DEAD gives new meaning to the words, ‘nervous laughter.’ As your guide for the evening, Todd Robbins draws audiences into an unknown, haunted world full of frightful surprises and diabolical stage illusions that are sure to mystify you and keep you screaming – with laughter!

“I do believe that nothing like this – in its no-holds-barred, but totally frank, funny and moral approach to supernatural horror theatre – has ever been seen on the American stage.”– TELLER

Teller has been the smaller, quieter half of Penn & Teller since 1975. Their critically acclaimed stage show spent several years both on and Off-Broadway, earning Teller an Obie and the Drama Critics Circle award and has played to several sold out national tours and now enjoys a full-time home at The Rio All-Suite Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas. The Showtime series “Penn & Teller: Bullshit!” now in its eighth season, is the network’s longest-running series.

Recently Todd Robbins presented The Charlatan’s Séance at the Two River Theatre Company in Red Bank, NJ. He has been seen on more than 100 TV shows including the late night talkfests of Letterman, Leno and Conan O’Brien and the NBC special, “Extreme Variety.” Robbins was last seen Off-Broadway in his critically acclaimed show, Carnival Knowledge.
