The Pirates of Penzance sets sail for the Caribbean in this raucous and rowdy update of an operetta comedy classic. Using the original Gilbert and Sullivan libretto set to a Caribbean inspired score, Director Gordon Greenberg (The Baker's Wife) navigates Pirates! into the 21st century, complete with swordfights and sex appeal. After a hard-of-hearing nurse mistakes the word "pilot" for "pirate," young Frederic finds himself apprenticed to a band of swashbuckling buccaneers. Now a young man, and with his final days of servitude rapidly approaching, he longs for a return to respectable life. But in true Gilbert and Sullivan style, mishap after mishap arises, and it will take a fair maiden, a fair amount of double-crossing, and the very model of a modern major general to reach a happy ending. Familiar, but with a tropical twist, this is an innovative and dynamic production you'll have to see to believe!

Know Before You Go
Both romantic and scary, The Phantom of the Opera is a thrilling night of theater with grand emotions.
Andrew Lloyd Webber’s score, with its beloved signature song “Music of the Night,” sets the mood,
but you may also find yourself humming the gorgeous period costumes and simple yet grand sets
(even the famous chandelier, which probably falls slower than you’d expect, is a thrill).
