About Covers on Broadway
Story for Covers
What are your covers? Come find out at the second run of “Covers,” an innovative exploration of identity, resilience and memory by New York’s only young Russian Jewish theatre ensemble, under the inspirational direction of acclaimed Russian director Alexandre Marine between Tuesday, October 1 and Sunday, October 13, at the ArcLight Theatre, 152 West 71st Street.
Interactive and in English, “Covers” examines the contemporary struggle with multiple national identities and value systems under the illuminating lens of a Russian-Jewish-American-Israeli cast. Following a successful first run this spring which inaugurated Folksbiene.RU, a new division of the Drama Desk Award-winning National Yiddish Theater – Folksbiene, “Covers” was developed by The Lost & Found Project, the brainchild of Anna Zicer.
