Solid Show

"On The Town" is wanting if you compare it to its original film. In this case, "An American In Paris" is sufficiently different from the film to be evaluated on its own. This show is expertly presented and with many Gershwin songs not in the (1951) film. The mixture of dancing and singing from both of the two main leads is top-notch, in the tradition of Gene Kelly. Leanne Cope has the presence of Leslie Caron. The show is efficient and the dance numbers are thoroughly entertaining.
