110 In The Shade Tickets

In the middle of a heat wave in 1930's Texas, when everyone is longing for rain, or a breeze, Lizzie Curry is on the verge of becoming a hopeless old maid. Her wit, intelligence and skills as a homemaker can't make up for the fact that she can't find true love. Even the town sheriff, for whom she harbors a secret yen, won't take a chance. However, when a charismatic rainmaker named Starbuck enters the town and her family's life, Lizzie's world is turned upside down. Four-time Tony winner Audra McDonald returns to the Broadway stage to play Lizzie Curry, her first Broadway appearance since her Tony-winning portrayal of Ruth in A Raisin in the Sun.

Tickets at Studio 54

Studio 54 was built in 1927 as The Gallo and was intended to house opera productions. It was the first of multiple names given to the theater, some of which include the legitimate theater The New Yorker and a dinner theater Casino de Paree. The venue is probably best known for its incarnation as a world-famous disco in the 1970s.

In 1998, The Roundabout Theatre Company returned Studio 54 back to a legitimate theater with the multiple Tony Award-winning show Cabaret.

A musical adaptation of Richard Nash's heartwarming play The Rainmaker. Audra McDonald stars as Lizzie Curry, a lonely woman whose life is changed by the arrival of a rainmaker name Starbuck. As her drought-stricken town is swept up in his promises, Lizzie soon finds herself swept up in his arms.
