About The Spinners:



The Spinners are a soul group formed in Detroit in 1954. Their song "It's a Shame" became a hit in the 1970. the song was co-written by Stevie Wonder, Syreeta Wright and Lee Garrett, and produced by Stevie Wonder. The group recorded some soul classics between 1972 - 1979, includng "I'll Be Around", "Could It Be I'm Fallin in Love", "Mighty Love", "Ghetto Child", "Then Came You", "Games People Play", and "The Rubberband Man". During the 1980s, the group recorded several big hits including "Right or Wrong" and "Funny How Time Slips Away".

The Spinners were inducted into The Vocal Group Hall of Fame in 1999. The Spinners continue touring with Henry Fambrough and Bobbie Smith (original members), Charlton Washington, Jessie Peck and Marvin Taylor.
