About Pink:



Pink, whose real name is Alecia Moore, is an American singer and songwriter whose albums ahve sold over 30 million copies. In 2000 she released her debut album "Can't Take Me Home", which was produced by several prominant producers such as Babyface. It was a best-seller - selling millions of copies around the world. Pink's songs were featued in several movie soundtracks, and the album ended up reaching double platinum status. After the success of this album, she recorded the song "Lady Marmalade" with the singers Christina Aguilera, Li'l Kim and Mya. This song won the Video of the Year award at the MTV Music Awards and even won a Grammy Award! In 2001 Pink released her second album "Missundaztood". She worked with Lisa Perry to create a new sound which was more her own. Many of the albums songs became hits, like " Get the Party Started", "Family Portrait", "Just Like a Pill" and "Don't Let me Get Me". In 2002 she went on tour in the U.S. Europe and Australia. For the Missundaztood album Pink was nominated for the Best Female Pop Vocal Performance and Best Pop Vocal Album categories at the 2003 Grammy awards. In 2003 Pink released her third album "Try This". Though the album included some popular songs such as "Trouble" and "God Is a DJ", it was not a successful as her previous albums. However, it still earned her a Grammy in 2004 and was featured on Pink's "Try This Tour" in Australia and Europe. Pink's fourth record, "I'm Not Dead, released in 2006, has gone 10 times platinum . Its singles, "Stupid Girls", "Who Knew" and "U + Ur Hand" helped the album sell over 1 million copies in the US and 6 million around the world. Pink won the MTV Music Award for Best Pop Video for the "Stupid Girls" video. Pink also toured with "I'm Not Dead" in the summer of 2006. In 2007 she opened for Justin Timberlake's tour FutureSex/LoveShow. In 2008 Pink released her fifth album, "Funhouse", after first releasing the hugely popular single "So What". Other singles form this album were "Sober", "Please Don't Leave Me", and "bad Influence" Pink began touring with this album in 2008 and performed in the 2009 MTV Music awards.
