Lionel Richie is an American singer, songwriter and record producer. Richie has sold over 100 million records. In 1968, Richie became the lead singer and saxophonist of the Commodores, a popular soul group. The band signed a contract with Atlantic Records, and later moved on to Motown Records. Richie released his debut solo album in 1982. The albums includes the hits "Truly", "You Are" and "My Love". The album sold over 4 million copies. Richie's 1983 album, "Can't Slow Down", won two Grammy Awards, and sold over 20 million copies worldwide. The album includes the hits "Hello" and "All Night Long (All Night)".

Richie, along with Michael Jackson, wrote the charity single "We are the World" In 1985. The song topped the music charts throughout the world, and won three Grammy Awards.

During the 1990's Richie released the albums " Back To Front", "Louder Than Words", "Truly: The Love Songs", and "Time. His latest album, "Just Go", was released in 2009 and includes the songs "Good Morning", "I'm in Love" and "I'm Not Okay".
