About Kellie Pickler:



Kellie Pickler is an American country music artist and television personality. She became famous as a contestant on the fifth season of the Fox reality show American Idol, in which she finished in sixth place. In 2006 she released her debut album "Small Town Girl", which topped Billboard's "Top Country Albums List", and sold almost 80,000 copies in its first week. In 2007 she joined Brad paisley's tour as an opening act. She also received a 42nd Academy of Country Music Awards Nomination, and received a songwriter award at the ASCAP Awards for co-writing the single "Red High Heels". In 2008 her second album "Kellie Pickler" was released and included the hits "Don't You Know You're Beautiful", and "Best Days of Your Life" which she co-wrote with her good friend Taylor Swift. It sold over 40,000 copies its first week. Kellie Pickler presented at the CMT music Awards in 2009, and was also nominated for "Female Video of the Year". She toured as an opening act for Taylor Swift on the Fearless Tour. Kellie Pickler is a self-proclaimed vegetarian and even won an award from PETA as the "World's Sexiest Vegetarian" She also supports various causes such as the St. Judes Children's Research Hospital and the has appeared on two USO tours.
