The Most Amazing Story Ever Sung(LA MAS GRANDE HISTORIA)comes to NYC direct from Colombia. This critically-acclaimed musical sensation makes its New York premiere for 4 performances only. Experience the unforgettable story of Jesus through a joyous fusion of jazz, Latin, rock and gospel music performed with an 18-piece orchestra. The elaborate production highlights the childhood years of this historical figure through dazzling choreography and song, touching your spirit as it delivers magical moments and showcases thrilling new talent.
The Most Amazing Story Ever Sung" features more than 85 dancers, singers and actors, including 35 child performers, and over 600 costumes designed by Colombian artisans, sculptors and artists. Performed entirely in Spanish with English supertitles, the show is narrated by well-known Mexican tenor Miguel Ángel Ramírez and features Felipe Salazar as Jesus, Juliana Reyes as Mary, and Erwin Barrera as Joseph, as well as Jaime Ortiz, Juan Camilo Castillo and Isa Mosquera.
With a book by Arturo Tovar, music and lyrics by María Isabel Murillo, and direction by Rob Barron, this lavish, family-friendly spectacle is guaranteed to be the season's first must-see event.
