The national Yiddish Theatre presents the 25th Anniversary Off-Broadway limited engagement of The Golden Land, a musical in English and Yiddish. A tour-de-force musical, performed together in English and Yiddish, THE GOLDEN LAND encapsulates the struggles, hopes, and dreams of a nation beginning to grow, through the eyes of the men, women, and children from distant lands who helped build it. THE GOLDEN LAND isn't just another musical- it's a musical about us all. Join us in celebrating its 25th Anniversary!
As a group of Jewish immigrants pass through the gates of Ellis Island, the land of opportunity awaits. Streets are paved with gold they've been told, but soon learn this is not nearly the case.
Bold and heartwarming, THE GOLDEN LAND is a story we all share regardless of creed or religion. It is the story of all Americans, past, present, and future chronicled in a musical journey like no other.
