Title should read "Based on The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe"

The actors did a good job of connecting with children in the audience through their story telling. But if you are looking for a Broadway production of this classic tale, then you will be disappointed. It basically follows the book, but there is some going off script and adlibbing by the actors. There are only two props, and a few wardrobe additions such as hat, scarf , the female actors skirt pulled up to reveal a shiny white to depict the White Witch and a lions head but other than that you have to use your imagination. If you are familiar with the story it is easily accomplished, but if not you may have a hard time visualizing the scene being played out before you. The stage is small, set in a church and the seating is chairs which are mostly on the same level making it difficult for the smaller children to see over those in front of them. If you get a discount through then it will cost $20 and that's a fair cost for this rendition of The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe. My 5 1/2 year old granddaughter was able to follow it and enjoyed it. Running time is 45 minutes with no break and that is perfect as she was starting to get antsy toward the end. All in all it's a good play as long as your children already know the story.
