Talley's Folly Synopsis
is the second work of Wilsons's Talley trilogies. At the end of World War II, Matt Friedman, a Jewish immigrant who has spent his life keeping others at a distance, decides to returns to the a small town where he and Sally Talley first met.
Matt's come back created quite a stir in Sally's conservative Protestant family and surroundings. Unlike her relatives, Sally Talley is a nurse with deep misgivings about the country’s future. Matt finally has gained the courage to ask Sally for to marry him, convincing her that they do belong together.
